Robbert Dijkgraaf in Conversation with Nobel & Kavli Laureates on “Blue-Sky Research”

At 11:00 am ET, IAS Director and Leon Levy Professor Robbert Dijkgraaf moderated a panel of Nobel Prize & Kavli Prize laureates to discuss how curiosity-driven, blue-sky science can help address major challenges and prepare the world for an uncertain future post Covid-19.

In addition to Dijkgraaf, featured panelists include IAS Trustee and former Visitor in the School of Natural Sciences Ewine van Dishoeck as well as Mariya Gabriel, Sir Christopher Pissarides, Sir Peter Ratcliffe, and Jennifer Doudna.

The panel, “Blue-sky research to prepare for an uncertain future” was organized by the European Research Council and The Kavli Prize.

European Research and Innovation Days is the European Commission’s annual flagship research and innovation event, bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
