The Friends of the Museum of Cluny recognize Le Monde syriaque. Sur les routes d'un christianisme ignoré (Les Belles Lettres, 2017) as a work of high quality in the field of art history, archaeology, music, or history of the fifth to fifteenth century.
Le Monde syriaque, co-written with Françoise Briquel-Chatonnet, was the focus of Debié's research while at IAS.
The book was also awarded a 2018 Grand Prix des Rendez-vouz de l'Histoire du Monde arabe by the Arab World Institute and l'Académie du Royaume du Maroc.
