IAS Faculty and Members Attend ICTS at Ten

IAS Faculty, Trustees, and Members will participate in ICTS at Ten, a gathering to celebrate the unity of science, which takes place January 4–7, at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences campus in Bengaluru, India.

The event features half-hour talks by IAS Faculty and Members, including:
Professor Nathan Seiberg on Quantum Field Theory as the Language of Physics [Thursday 1/4: 4:00 a.m. ET]
Professor Nima Arkani-Hamed on Spacetime, Quantum Mechanics and Positive Geometry [Friday 1/5: 6:30 a.m. ET]

Visiting Professor Sanjeev Arora on Machine Learning without Supervision [Saturday 1/6: 12:00 a.m. ET]

On January 7, Robbert Dijkgraaf, Director and Leon Levy Professor, will give a public lecture on The Usefulness of Useless Knowledge (Princeton University Press, 2016). The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with Institute for Advanced Study Trustees Narayana Murthy and Manjul Bhargava; former Members Jennifer Chayes (1994–95, 1997) and David Gross (1973–74, 1977–78); and K.
