The Qurʾānic Pagans and Related Matters (Brill, 2016) by Patricia Crone, Professor Emeritus in the School of Historical Studies, is the first piece in the Collected Studies in Three Volumes, a compilation of a number of her published, unpublished, and revised writings on Near Eastern and Islamic history. The present volume pursues the reconstruction of the religious environment in which Islam arose and develops an intertextual approach to studying the Qurʾānic religious milieu.
