Princeton University Library will create, upon request, NetIDs for Faculty, Members and official Visitors at the Institute for Advanced Study. This Princeton NetID account will facilitate borrowing e-books and accessing certain databases that requiring a higher level of user authentication. IAS Library staff can advise you on specific needs you may have.
Princeton asks that you supply a cell phone number for use in the Duo Authentication system. If you do not have a cell phone, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we will help you. The phone number that you provide will also be used by Princeton's emergency notification system.
Batches of requests are sent over to Princeton University Libraries staff each Wednesday. After they process your information, you will receive an email from Princeton's access.security email address, which will give you the opportunity to set your password. If you have not heard from Princeton within 2 weeks, please alert the IAS library staff at [email protected].
Once you receive your NetID username, the Service Point can print a Tiger Card for on demand during their business hours.
