Sergio Romero will be working on a study of the composition, translation, and circulation of sixteenth and seventeenth doctrinal and devotional literature in Highland Mayan languages of Guatemala. The study considers multiple pastoral genres as well as notebooks kept in Mayan languages by native assistants of Dominican and Franciscan friars.
