Sarah McNamer

Sarah McNamer studies the interplay between medieval literature and the history of emotion. She also enjoys literary-historical detective work. Her project at IAS draws on affective evidence to advance a new theory of the identity and cultural location of the Pearl poet, one of the most brilliant and elusive of all English writers.
