Geoffrey Herman is currently working on a book that examines the social, religious, and cultural experience of the inhabitants of one Sasanian province, Babylonia. Integrating the disparate contemporary narratives of Jews, Christians, Manicheans, and Zoroastrians, it will
probe the sociocultural “koine” of the region, and the common modes of religious expression.
