Daniel Halpern-Leistner’s research is focused on geometric invariant theory and its generalizations. Specifically, he studies structures in the equivariant derived category which arise in the context of geometric invariant theory. He is also interested in the geometry of algebraic stacks and the theory of deformation quantization.
