Bruno De Nicola specilizes in the cultural history of the Islamicate World during the Mongol period (thirteenth–fourteenth centuries). At IAS, he will work on a book looking at the process of transculturation between Mongol conquerors and native populations in Iran and Central Asia through surviving manuscripts from the period.
