Asif A. Siddiqi is a historian of modern science and technology. While at IAS, he will work on "Departure Gates: Postcolonial Histories of Space on Earth," which explores the considerable infrastructural imprint of spaceflight activities on the physical and social geography of our home planet, often manifest in damage and displacement.
