Ana Aliverti's research lies at the intersection of criminology, law, sociology, and anthropology. She specializes in criminal justice and border controls. At IAS, she will work on a project on the UK asylum bureaucracy investigating it as a moral institution—a site where moral emotions and values are mobilized, regulated, and contested.
