Alex Fink is interested in interactions of algebraic geometry and combinatorics, notably matroid theory and tropical mathematics. He plans to study objects arising in the matroid Hodge theory programme, especially generalizations of the matroid Schubert variety corresponding to multiple tautological matroid bundles.
