Menon is an applied mathematician with interests in the study of disordered systems, algorithms and turbulence. His most recent work concerns the use of these ideas for the mathematical foundations of artificial intelligence. He is interested in developing a geometric foundation for deep learning based on the Nash embedding theorems.
Menon is also interested in the development of mathematical policy and governance in light of the growth of AI.
