Joyce Di Donato: After EDEN

Multi-Grammy award winner Joyce DiDonato has been dubbed “perhaps the most potent female singer of her generation” by the New Yorker. She has gained international acclaim both as a performer in operas by Handel and Mozart and as a fierce advocate for the arts. EDEN is her latest multifaceted initiative, one that includes a tour of more than 45 venues across five continents and a groundbreaking education program that explores our individual connection to nature and its impact on our world. In this conversation with IAS Director and Leon Levy Professor David Nirenberg, DiDonato surveys topics ranging from art and the environment to creative collaboration, examining how she brings her voice and the musical traditions in which she works to pressing issues of the age.
