Massimiliano Berti's research focuses on the dynamical study of Hamiltonian dispersive PDEs, including Euler equation, water waves, KdV, SQG, Schrodinger, wave, and Klein-Gordon equations. He has pioneered unconventional approaches to KAM theory, Birkhoff normal forms, and modulational instability for quasi-linear Hamiltonian PDEs.
