Cathy N. Davidson

During her Fall 2025 term as a Visitor at IAS, Cathy N. Davidson will focus on generative AI and the opportunities and dangers that it portends. She plans to be in deep dialogue with historians, social scientists, economists, and computer scientists, especially the IAS Fellows concentrating on Digital (In)Equality, as she works on a new book that examines three past episodes in the history of emerging technologies to address the commercial release and political implications of AI in the present.
