Subsidy Rates

The health insurance subsidy level for qualified Members will be the lesser of the stated IAS monthly subsidy (listed below) or the full cost of the IAS-approved private health insurance coverage which was purchased. The subsidy will be paid for the term of the Member's appointment with the Institute.

Is the subsidy taxable?

The subsidy is considered ordinary income and, therefore, may be taxable to the Member as other income will be.
