Labyrinth Books and IAS Present a Public Conversation on "War for Peace"

On Tuesday, March 26, Labyrinth Books will host a discussion of War for Peace: Genealogies of a Violent Ideal in Western and Islamic Thought (Oxford University Press, 2018), a new book by Murad Idris, AMIAS Member in the School of Social Science.

Idris, whose book gives an account of what peace means, how it works, and the basis of its moralities and the political functions of its idealizations, historically and into the present, will be joined in the discussion by Princeton University scholars Andrew Cole, Professor of English, and Dan-el Padilla Peralta, Assistant Professor of Classics and Latino Studies.

This event takes place on March 26 at 6 p.m. at Labyrinth Books in Princeton, New Jersey. It is cosponsored by the Institute for Advanced Study and Princeton University's Humanities Council.
