Robbert Dijkgraaf Awarded Honorary Doctorate from Vrije Universiteit Brussel

Robbert Dijkgraaf, Director and Leon Levy Professor of the Institute for Advanced Study, has been selected to receive an honorary doctorate from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), to be presented on April 2, 2019. The university will confer seven honorary doctorates on this day to top scientists and personalities in accordance with the annual theme: “figures that matter.” Among his accomplishments, VUB cites Dijkgraaf for bringing “the power and beauty of science to the attention of the general public,” and for his role as “a true ambassador for science."
