Aaron Michael Butts Awarded Humboldt Research Fellowship

Aaron Michael Butts, Member in the School of Historical Studies, has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers.

The fellowship will support Butts's continued work on a book project he is currently developing at IAS. Tentatively titled "The Conversions of Ethiopia: A Study of Ancient and Modern Historiography," the book investigates the so-called conversions of Ethiopia to Christianity.

Conferred by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, this award supports long-term research (6–18 months) in Germany. Applicants choose their own topic of research and their academic host.
