Members in the School of Mathematics Receive Clay Research Awards

Aleksandr Logunov, Member in the School of Mathematics, has received a Clay Research Award with Eugenia Malinnikova in recognition of their introduction of a novel geometric combinatorial method to study doubling properties of solutions to elliptic eigenvalue problems.

Scott Sheffield, former Member (2006–07) in the School of Mathematics, also received a Clay Research Award with Jason Miller in recognition of their groundbreaking and conceptually novel work on the geometry of the Gaussian free field and its application to the solution of open problems in the theory of two-dimensional random structures.
