Theory of Deep Learning: Where Next?

Organized by Distinguished Visiting Professor Sanjeev Arora, Joan Bruna, Rong Ge, Suriya Gunasekar, Jason Lee, and Bin Yu, this workshop brings together deep learning practitioners and theorists to discuss progress that has been made on deep learning theory and to identify promising avenues where theory is possible and useful. There will be several invited talks each day as well as spotlight talks by young researchers. Talks will include topics such as adaptivity and generalization in deep learning, dimensionality and mode collapse, and neural networks.
