Princeton University Gravity Group Lunch Seminar - Speaker & Title Added

Black Holes and Modified Gravity

We motivate the study of modified gravity theories and the role these modifications may play in addressing open questions about the formation and structure of black holes. We discuss theoretical challenges in studying modified gravity theories and outline current work on a numerical study of gravitational collapse and black hole formation with a modified gravity theory, Einstein-dilaton-Gauss-Bonnet gravity.
