The Pentaquark Puzzle
Recently several experimental groups claimed the evidence of new manifestly
exotic baryon resonances the $\Theta$(1540)$ the $\Xi^-$ and $\Xi0$ states
and the $\Theta_c$ which all require a minimum of 5 quarks state therefore
named pentaquark. These surprising new results triggered different experimental
groups to look for these pentaquark in their data and renewed the need
to refine our understanding of low energy QCD. However there have been a
number of searches that were carried out that did not confirm these claimed
pentaquark states. We will discuss the various pieces of the experimental
evidence relevant to this pentaquark puzzle.
