Julia Ticona, Member in the School of Social Science, has been awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) for the research project, “Imagining AI in organized labor: Struggles over the value of cultural work,” which she co-directs with Caitlin Petre of Rutgers University.

On April 9, Margrethe Vestager, the Executive Vice President of the European Commission for A Europe Fit for the Digital Age, delivered the 2024 IAS Public Policy Lecture. Her talk focused on three things that past IAS Director J. Robert Oppenheimer can tell us about technology. During the lecture, Vestager also announced that the European Commission is opening an investigation into Chinese wind-turbine suppliers.
