Snezana Lawrence

Snezana Lawrence will use her visit for archival research on "Zero-Sum Games: The Minimax Revolution" (to be published by Yale University Press), exploring the birth of game theory and its Cold War impact. She will focus on mathematics and computing from John von Neumann's arrival at the Institute in 1933 to the creation of the JOHNNIAC computer in 1953.
