The impact of Saʿadyāh Gāʾōn’s Arabic Pentateuch translation on medieval Muslim scholars has not yet been investigated. Moreover, this landmark effort still awaits a modern critical edition. The latter will be provided by considering important seventh/thirteenth century Arabic-Islamic manuscripts that clearly account for Muslim reception of Saʿadyāh’s work.
