Meron Martin Piotrkowski

While at IAS, Meron Martin Piotrkowski will be working on the history of the Jewish community of Oxyrhynchus in Egypt in early and late antiquity. Piotrkowski's project examines Jewish papyri from Oxyrhynchus and seeks to test the commonly accepted hypothesis that Egyptian Jewry was completely annihilated in the Diaspora Revolt (115–117 C.E.).
