Curry Goat and Gari: West Indian Women in 20th Century Nigerian Society explores the distinctive practices Anglophone Caribbean migrants (West Indians) employed in the formation of Caribbean diasporas. Most studies of Anglophone Caribbean diasporas have focused on the UK, Canada and the US. This study is one of the first to focus on how West Indian women created a diasporic community in postcolonial Nigeria and the ways in which globalization shaped the geographic contours of an emergent Nigerian West Indian community.
