Arnaud Fossier is currently writing a microhistory book based on judicial bishop’s archives of Pistoia in Tuscany (c.1300). Fossier pays particular attention to the conflicts between clergy and parishioners, the sexuality and the marriages of lay people, and the economy of credit in the rural communities at the end of the Middle Ages.
