Alessandro M. Bruni has made major contributions to Paleoslavistics with a special focus on textual criticism, Paleography and Codicology, and Historical linguistics. His method involves a comprehensive investigation of the Slavonic sources combined with the study of both their Greek originals and other traditions of Eastern Christianity.
