Photography of the Institute Woods

During his time at IAS, Vladimir Voevodsky, past Professor in the School of Mathematics, photographed the remarkable range of insect, bird, animal, and plant life in the Institute Woods, offering a compelling view into the daily life of its diverse inhabitants. An exhibition, The Institute Woods, featured a selection of his work, some of which can be seen below. Voevodsky’s photography was also included in a 2011 exhibit at the D&R Greenway Land Trust, Friends in Field and Forest: Celebrating Partners in Preservation.
