What happens when you put sky surveys in the microwave

Surveys of the mm-wave sky are great resources for astrophysics and cosmology. Sources that have been studied include solar system objects, flaring stars, accreting black holes, dusty star forming galaxies, and galaxy clusters, while cosmological studies are done of the cosmic microwave background and how it is lensed by foreground large scale structure. I will use selections from the science program of the South Pole Telescope as examples of ongoing research in this area.
