Princeton University Public Lecture
Knocking On Heaven’s Door
Physicist Lisa Randall will discuss the latest discoveries in particle physics and cosmology and the implications those discoveries pose for our understanding of the world. Professor Randall is the Frank J. Baird Professor of Science at Harvard. She is the author of Warped Passages: Understanding the Mysteries of the Universe’s Hidden Dimensions (2009) and Knocking on Heaven’s Door: How Physics and Scientific Thinking Illuminate the Universe and the Modern World (2011). Her 2012 Kindle Single Higgs Discovery explains the science behind the discovery of the Higgs Boson, its implications, and the power of empty space. This event, sponsored by the Vanuxem Lecture Series, is free and open to the public. For more information on this and other events in the series, please visit lectures.princeton.edu.
