IAS Scholars Receive Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers

Tracy Slatyer, Junior Visiting Professor (2018–19) and Member (2010–13) in the School of Natural Sciences, Thomas Hartman, Member (2010–13) in the School, and Lillian B. Pierce, von Neumann Fellow (2017–18) in the School of Mathematics, have been named recipients of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.

Established in 1996, the award is the highest honor bestowed by the United States government to outstanding scientists and engineers who are beginning their independent research careers and who show exceptional promise for leadership in science and technology.
