Roger E. Covey Membership Established in East Asian Studies

The Tang Research Foundation, led by Xin Luo, Member (2014­–15) in the School of Historical Studies, has endowed the Roger E. Covey Membership in East Asian Studies in the School of Historical Studies. The Roger E. Covey Member will receive support related to all aspects of academic appointment and community life that are unique characteristics to the Institute experience. Nicola Di Cosmo, Luce Foundation Professor in East Asian Studies in the School said, “The exceptional generosity of the Tang Research Foundation strengthens the commitment of the School of Historical Studies to the East Asian humanities, with special emphasis on the pre-modern period. The endowed Membership is a testament to the closer ties that have been established between the School and Asian scholars in various fields, which we strive to expand and develop even further in the future.”
