Bird Watching in the Institute Woods
Saturday, October 5, 2024
Sunday, October 6, 2024

The Institute Friends are sponsoring this walk, led by Peter Reczek, former National Audubon Society instructor and avid bird watcher. Attendees will search out a variety of woodpeckers including pileated, red bellied and flickers, chimney swifts and purple martins in addition to song birds including warblers, sparrows, and whatever migrants are passing through the area. We'll keep an eye out for other animals and plants common to the area as well.

Please park in Lot B and gather at 9:00 a.m. at the benches by the pond next to the IAS library for the start of the trip. We expect to have a casual and highly interactive walk of about 90 minutes mostly over level terrain.

Please note these events will take place rain or shine.

Space is limited, register below to attend! We kindly request that you register for one date only.
