Express

When using any express mail service, the sender's name and office telephone number must be printed on the airbill so that the proper individual or School can be charged. Packages without the sender's name will not be accepted for express mail delivery, and it will not be possible to notify the sender that the package was not sent.

Federal Express regularly collects packages from the mailroom between 5:30 and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Outgoing Federal Express packages should be brought to the mailroom for pick up. All copies of the airbill with sender's name and office number should be inserted in the plastic pouch. A photocopy of the airbill should be made for your records. A signature is required for all international Federal Express shipments, including those bound for Canada. You can track your package through the Federal Express website, www.fedex.com, by supplying the airbill number.

United Parcel Service (UPS) arrangements should be made through the Institute's mailroom (ext. 8220).

Outgoing US Postal Service Express packages should be brought to the mailroom by 2:15 pm.

Airborne Express and DHL Worldwide Express do not make scheduled collections at the Institute; however, they may be contacted directly to arrange an individual pick up.

Domestic and international airbills, envelopes, and information may be found in the Mail Information Center located in the hallway between the lower levels of Fuld Hall and Building B. Policies regarding express mail services vary among the Schools. Please consult your School Administrative Officer for further information.

Interoffice, UPS, US

US and interoffice mail is delivered to academic buildings and administrative offices several times a day during the week and once on Saturday mornings. Outgoing mail is collected from all buildings at approximately 9:00 am, 12 noon, and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and at approximately 10:00 am on Saturday. Please ask your building secretary for mailbox locations. Policies regarding mailing expenses vary among the Schools. Please consult your School Administrative Officer for further information.

The mailroom (ext. 8220) is located in the lower level of Building B (adjacent to Fuld Hall) and maintains the Mail Information Center. United Parcel Service (UPS) arrangements may be made through the mailroom. A postage scale, airbills, envelopes, and information for various express mail services along with train and bus schedules can be found the Mail Information Center located in the hallway between the lower levels of Fuld Hall and Building B.
