Mail Services

Open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm 

All out going mail is taken to the Post office at 3:00 PM on regular business days

 

Shipping services

All packages to be shipped must be brought to the mail room packed and ready to be shipped. The mail room does not provide, or sell packing materials / boxes.

Outgoing domestic packages can be sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS), UPS, FedEx ground, and FedEx Express

Outgoing international packages can be sent via USPS, FedEx Express, and DHL

 

FEDEX 

Outgoing FedEx Express packages should be brought to the mail room for FedEx Express pick up, FedEx Express picks up from the mail room at 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Outgoing international and domestic FedEx express parcels can be sent using a FedEx express air waybill, or can be processed for shipment in the mail room.

 

FedEx Air Waybill 

If you are using a FedEx air waybill to send your parcel, the sender must complete the Air waybill in full, and attach it to the outgoing parcel. The senders name and office number for personal shipments, or Name and school account number must be included on the AWB on the internal billing reference line so the proper school or individual can be billed. Parcels without the internal billing reference completed will not be accepted for shipment A photocopy of the air waybill should be made for your records. 

 

To send an outgoing domestic, or international package through any of the above listed shipping services from the mail room please print complete the shipping form. Bring the completed shipping form, and ready to ship parcel to the mail room for processing. 

All international packages require a commercial invoice to be completed for, along with the shipping form, before the parcel can be sent. The commercial invoice is required by customs for all international packages. When shipping multiple international packages, each package requires its own commercial invoice.

All international USPS packages require a USPS customs declaration, form 2976-R, to be completed and attached to the parcel before it can be sent. This document can also be completed online Here

The USPS defines any parcel larger then, Height: 12 inches, Length: 15 inches, and Thickness: 3/4 inch – as a package

DHL Worldwide Express does not make regular scheduled collections at from IAS; however, they may be contacted directly to arrange an individual pick up for outgoing packages processed in the Mail Room.

 

FedEx Express, USPS Priority Mail, and UPS Express shipping supplies and forms can be found in the mail information center located in the hallway between the lower levels of Fuld hall and Building B. these supplies can only be used for the specific shipper and service labeled on the supplies.

 

 

MAIL

Regular mail, and interoffice mail is delivered, and picked up from academic building and administrative office mail stops once daily in the morning at approximately 8:00 am Monday through Friday, Please ask your schools administrator for mailbox locations.

 

Additionally, there is a mail box located in the vestibule at the entrance of Fuld Hall where mail/parcels can be dropped off. Mail is picked up from this mail box during regular mail delivery in the morning and again at 3:00pm before the regular daily trip to the post office.

 

All outgoing mail must have the senders name written in the top left corner along with the return address, and should be labeled as personal charge to the sender, or have a school account number to be charged. 

Articles of mail or packages without a chargeable return address or account number will not be sent out.

 

Policies regarding mailing expenses vary among the Schools. Please consult your school administrative officer for further information
