This conference will celebrate his memory on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. The scientific program presents a comprehensive examination of the Great Andromeda Galaxy as a gateway to understanding the formation and evolution of galaxies, their stellar populations, interstellar media, and dark matter halos, a topic that integrates the diverse and seminal contributions of Martin Schwarzschild throughout his research career.
