New Acquisitions Showcase

Join the Institute for Advanced Study’s Shelby White and Leon Levy Archives Center for a showcase event featuring recent acquisitions.

The Institute’s archival staff will provide an exclusive look at new arrivals to the Institute’s collections. Featured items will include material objects that represent significant histories from each of the Institute’s four Schools, including family letters from Shiing-Shen Chern (陳省身), photographs and letters from Erwin Panofsky and Gerda Soergel-Panofsky, an annotated typescript drafted by Wolfgang Pauli, and field notes from Clifford Geertz and Hildred Storey Geertz.

Curatorial staff will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the history of the Institute. This will be a drop-in event and registration is not required.
