They will perform, among others, a number of original compositions of Hazrat Amir Khusro (1253–1325 AD), who is credited to have invented the qawwali, and with whom their forefathers trained. The evening offers a taste of the traditional form of qawwali that emphasizes the beauty of words, music, and rhythm and creates an atmosphere of peace, harmony, and well-being.
