Clone of Social Science Seminar - reformatted 1

The next seminar of the School of Social Science will take place on Monday, October 10, featuring a presentation by Ayşe Parla from Sabanci University, a Member in the School, entitled Precarious Hope, Migrant Legalization and the Limits of Affect Theory. The following Monday, Ruha Benjamin of Princeton University, also a Member, will speak on The Emperor’s New Genes: Race, Science, Policy, and the Allure of Objectivity.

The Social Science Seminar meets each week on Monday from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m in the Dilworth Room. The presentation begins at 12:30 p.m. Attendees, as in the past, include the Faculty, Members, Visitors and Research Assistants of the School of Social Science, those Members of the School of Historical Studies with related interests, and colleagues from the wider academic community.
