Accommodation at Rider University 

Participants at the Amplitudes conference and/or summer school can book a single-occupancy room in a shared suite at Rider University during registration on Eventbrite, with breakfast and dinner included. Bookings are on a first-come first-serve basis. Cost $500 during the conference and $300 during the school.

Rider University is a private University in Lawrenceville around a 20-minute drive from the IAS campus. Busing to/from the venue at the IAS are included in the price. The facilities include a lounge, in-unit laundry and air conditioning. For more information see the following links:

Rider Housing

Note that the dining at Rider University will only be buffet dining since the pub and dining outlets are closed for the summer. Use of the pool is not included in the fitness center fee.

The booking at Rider University can be chosen to be either from June 9-14 or June 16-21. Participants who chose both options of June 9-14 and June 16-21 during the registration on Eventbrite will be able to stay at Rider University during the full period of June 9-21 without any extra costs. Choosing both weeks in the registration form will automatically add the dates of June 14-16 to your registration.

The housing at Rider University includes an individual room in a suite. Each suite is shared among 3-4 people and has a bathroom and in-unit laundry facility. Participants can submit preferences and requests for suitemates in the registration form. The organizers will try their best to fulfil all requests, although it cannot be guaranteed.

Buses will run directly to and from Rider University to the lecture hall at IAS every weekday morning and afternoon of the conference and summer school. The bus trip takes around 20 minutes. Note that there is no busing on the weekend, June 15 -16. Detailed bus schedule will follow later in the spring. 

Included in cost at Rider University on June 9-14 is: individual room in a shared suite, breakfast every weekday, busing to and from IAS June 10-14; dinners at Rider University on June 10, 11, 13, and 14. Dinner on June 12 at IAS is included in the conference registration fee. Note that the room at Rider must be vacated before 10 am on Friday June 14, and the conference program will end around 2 pm the same day.

Included in cost at Rider University on June 16-21 is: individual room in a shared suite, breakfast every weekday, busing to and from IAS June 17-21; dinners at Rider University on June 17, 18, and 20. Pizza/pool party on June 19 at IAS is included in the summer school registration fee. Note that the room at Rider must be vacated before 10 am on Friday June 21, and the summer school program will end around 2 pm the same day.

 

Discount code at Hyatt Place

Participants at the Amplitudes conference can use a designated discount code to book a room at Hyatt Place (https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/new-jersey/hyatt-place-princeton/ewrzp) during the dates of June 9-14 at a rate of $149/night plus 15% tax. The hotel is around a 20-minute drive from the IAS. Public buses can be taken from the hotel to Princeton train station, from where there is around a 30-minute walk to the IAS.

To get the discount code, please choose the option “I will arrange a room at the Hyatt” on the Eventbrite registration form and include the "Hyatt Discount Code" ticket to your registration. Please note that the number of discounted rooms is limited and will be granted on a first-come first-serve basis. Participants choosing to stay at Hyatt Place will have to book the rooms themselves by going to their website and entering the group code under "Special Rates" or by calling Hyatt Central Reservations and sharing the group code with the reservation agent. 

 

Family Housing

We may have a very limited amount of family housing on campus for participants bringing young children to the conference. Preference will be given to participants traveling without another accompanying adult or caregiver. Participants are responsible for covering the cost of the accommodation.
