3D (A)dS Gravity and the Large q Limit of SYK
Abstract: In this talk I’ll describe work in progress with Tommaso Marini and Xiaoliang Qi on the generalized Schwarzian action that governs the exact large q dynamics of SYK with a time-dependent Maldacena-Qi coupling. We find that the SYK equations of motion exactly reproduce the Israel junction conditions for an energy sheet that cuts through 3d de Sitter spacetime (or 3d AdS with two time directions).
I’ll then outline the proposed holographic dictionary that relates SYK correlators to 3D cosmological correlators.
