Machine Learning Theory for Physicists
Abstract: This talk will discuss the simplest model of neural nets, the multilayer perceptron. We will prove the basic properties of this model, and discuss three particular areas where physicists, especially high energy theorists, can contribute to machine learning theory: scaling laws, singular learning theory, and heuristic estimation.
