Princeton University Gravity Initiative Special Seminar

What's on the horizon? A discussion on the scientific prospects of the next-generation Event Horizon Telescope

Abstract: The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) has produced the first image of a black hole for M87, opening the possibility to test general relativity and our understanding of black hole accretion and high-energy plasma physics.

As the community is preparing to take the next steps, we want to discuss current challenges and future prospects of EHT related science.

This informal discussion session will be moderated by Andrew Chael, Alex Lupsasca, Lia Medeiros, Eliot Quataert and Chris White.
