Probing Dark Energy w/ Galaxy Clusters and Cosmic Shear

Growth structure probes have long been consider an indispensable tool for the study of dark energy. In this talk, I will present an analysis of the abundance of DES galaxy clusters to argue against the dynamical dark energy interpretation of the recent DESI results. We will place this discussion within its broader cosmological landscape, and discuss the prospect of a definitive confirmation or refutation of the dynamical dark energy signal using cosmic shear in near future surveys.
