Program Description

PiTP 2023 : “Understanding Confinement” 

Prospects in Theoretical Physics (PiTP) is an intensive two-week summer program designed for advanced graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. The program will be held from July 10-21, 2023 at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, NJ. 

REGISTRATION UPDATE: The application process is closed. Local scholars are welcome to attend the lectures, but not meals or special events.

  • Dynamics of Confining Strings
  • Higher Form Symmetries
  • Introduction to modern numerical methods
  • Confinement and Gauge/String Duality
  • Lower Dimensional Models for QCD

IAS Daily Lunch Selections, Dinner, and Grocery Information

The lunch break is 1:00-2:00pm daily, but the food service area closes at 1:30pm.
You can view the selections online, updated every morning: https://www.ias.edu/dining/lunch 
(Lunch includes a main course, soup or salad, dessert and one beverage.)

The dinner break is 5:30-7:00pm, but the food service closes at 6:30.
