IAS Physics Group Meeting

An Attempt at Harnessing Chaos

This group meeting will be presented in-person in the Bloomberg Lecture Hall at the IAS and on Zoom. The Zoom link will be provided in the email announcement.

For contact-tracing purposes all off-campus attendees must register for this seminar:
REGISTRATION FORM

All in-person attendees must be fully vaccinated, including a booster dose, and masks are optional in all indoor spaces. Additionally, all off-campus attendees are required to upload proof of vaccination that includes a booster dose via the IAS CrowdPass App

Abstract:

The talk will be an amalgamation of thoughts on proving the exponentially small gap in the asymptotic spectra of chaotic 2D CFT, deriving some partial results on implication of having a discrete spectra (with possibly exponentially small gap) and making some possible connection with Kontsevich Segal criterion, applied to BTZ black hole with complex metric (complexified \beta). I intend to keep it open ended, so that we can brainstorm!

A partial list of Ref [though I am planning to keep the talk self-contained]
